Absolutely not!, Your experienced guide will guide and assist you in the basic skills of 4WD driving to suit the terrain in which you are travelling. So if you are a beginner with your first 4WD you can be confident that we will get you through your big adventure safely.
Absolutely Yes!, On our tours you will get plenty of time to explore, bush walk, fish, photograph and take in the beauty and grandeur of the areas we visit.e Description
You will need a 4WD that has reasonably good ground clearance and also has a high/low transfer case. All wheel drive vehicles are not suitable for our tours, so please feel free to ask if you have any concerns. All vehicle types are checked for suitability when we receive your booking paperwork, our experienced and knowledgeable staff will advise you if any suitability issues arise.
This is not a requirement for you to participate in our tours, on our tours you will be guided along the way by our experienced staff as you enjoy your adventure. However, if you feel you require more formal training before adventuring out we can advise and recommend a reputable training company in your area.
We try not to travel more than 300km per day. We usually discuss the following day’s events around the campfire at night, or at our morning briefing sessions before departure. We are normally on the road between 8am-9am each morning and stop for lunch between 12pm-1pm. We stop at all points of interest throughout the day and try to set up camp well before sunset.
By all means!, Of course. All well behaved children are most definitely welcome. Children will be provided with activity packs that will keep their minds occupied whilst travelling. Please advise of any special needs requirements you may have so we can adjust schedules to suit.
When we receive your deposit and booking form, a Briefing Kit with all the information you will need, will be sent to you. It will contain lists of suggested spare parts, camping requirements and hints on food, packing etc. Most people take far too much gear, so pack wisely.
We are equipped with a UHF radio and a Satellite Telephone. We are first aid certified and we carry a first aid kit in case the need arises. Please advise us of any medical issues that may be a concern. We do advise that you take out travel insurance for all tours, if you fall ill before departure or for some reason cannot participate we cannot refund tour fees after the cut off date.
No, All fees for permits required to enter native lands, national parks, camping sites or to organised tourist attractions are part of your tour fees.
The only requirements are that you have a motorcycle licence at least at a provisional level we cannot except Learner riders as this would require levels of supervision in some Australian states, we cannot offer this as part of our motorcycle tours. However, feel free to discuss with us if you would be participating in the tour with an experienced riding companion.
